Manuel Álvarez Bravo often reflected on life’s darker side. In "Tumba reciente," we see a new grave with simple adornments combining traditions: A Christian cross next to a wire and paper arc that suggests the place where souls might enter the underworld. Daisies symbolize the cycle of life, as the body returns to nature.
