On View
Not on viewActive primarily in Rome, Raimondi made over 300 engraving over the course of his career, most of which reproduced designs by Raphael as well as recently excavated antique sculptures. His engraved copies of the Life of the Virgin woodcuts were created almost immediately after the publication of Dürer’s originals. Raimondi’s inclusion of Dürer’s monogram was not uncommon for the period.
