On View
Not on viewRuben’s print enterprise was not limited to engraving. For a short period he engaged the printmaker Christoffel Jegher to translate some of his compositions into woodcut. The results are among the technique’s most audacious achievements. They could not, however, accommodate the range and subtlety of effects in similarly intended engravings and therefore were a short-lived endeavor.
