The related work to the left of the installation reorganizes and expands upon the components in the triptych and the installation. Diamela Eltit’s image is added to those of the women shown in the installation, Sister Teresa and Zulema Morandé. As a writer and a performance artist, Eltit’s work is also concerned with the Chilean cartography of pain. For Díaz, the police and first aid diagrams speak of a wounded and fugitive Chilean social body. The childhood game of hopscotch suggests the desire of the political individual to find substitutes for the loss of an idyllic mother country.
