On View
Not on viewJorge Macchi often combines the use of chance and found objects to suggest a poetic or humorous narrative. In these photographs, he took advantage of the shadows cast by windows on the floor of his temporary studio in Rotterdam to stage a series of recurrent imaginary scenes featuring two toy cars. He transforms the darkened floors into an urban grid devoid of traffic or human presence. Such emptiness cannot prevent the toy cars’ fatal attraction, challenging the very notion of an accident.
