On View
Not on viewSedrick Huckaby’s work centers the ordinary people and places of his hometown, Fort Worth, Texas. Addressing global issues through the lens of his local community, this drawing is part of an online exhibition first shown in 2020, titled The 99%. This drawing, Highland Hills: Mr. Phoenix’s Wife, depicts the shadowy embrace of a husband and wife, blurring where one bodies ends and the next one begins. Through this, Huckaby skillfully illustrated a weighted intimacy that weaves through everyday life.
