Not on viewThis etching renders the final scene from Acts 8:26-39. On the road from Jerusalem to Gaza, Saint Phillip met a chamberlain from the Ethiopian court. Moved by the apostle's explanation of scripture, the chamberlain converted to Christianity and asked to be baptized. This impression retains the extraordinary delicacy of Rembrandt's line.
