The Portico of Octavia (27-25 B.C.) was dedicated in the name of Octavia, sister of Augustus. It replaced an older portico enclosing the Temple of Jupiter Stator (131 B.C.) and the Temple of Juno Regina (179 B.C.). The complex also included a library and a school, and was enriched with a collection of Greek statuary and painting.
