On View
Not on viewWolf Vostell obtains imagery directly from television and film. In this print, as in his performances, Fluxus artist Vostell removes television from its customary context and instead involves the viewer in an examination of televion as a powerful social and economic institution that shapes world veiws. The term "dé-coll/age" refers to just this: the erasure of context and meaning by the power of media in our culture.
