Frances Myers assisted Colescott with the printing of this edition. (Chapin 112) Colescott set his satiric sights on Lyndon B. Johnson's Great Society political platform in a series of prints from 1966 to 1970, lampooning everything from sports to science. Along the way, Colescott courted controversy and drew some sharp criticism for his final print on this subject, The Great Society: Inner Core (cats. 114, 115). On this series, see "Research Printmaker and Mad-Dog Attack Artist," pages 34-35. (Chapin pg. 130)
