Not on viewIn this print, Lawrence Yañez uses comedic hyperbole to include imagery typically associated with Chicanx art. "Sofa So Good", a title that incorporates wordplay, brings the exterior world indoors. The desert scene behind the chili-printed sofa—the “hot seat” —appears as a surreal picture window. Yañez shows how the broader environment, whether physical or political, can make its way into the home.
