On View
Not on viewgod, the ancient Roman emperor Augustus was shown a vision of the Virgin and Child in heaven. Marco Angolo del Moro developed their figures with grand rhetoric and grace despite their small scale, and immersed them in a panoramic landscape that refers to those of Titian and Campagnola. His etchings are the most sophisticated in design and technique of the school of Verona.
