There are many versions of this composition. This one is rendered with the darting, angular stroke of Luca Cambiaso's drawings of the mid 1560s. The figures, however, lack in structure, much of the surface articulation is random, and the hand is downright carless. The drawing is a fair replica from Cambiaso's workshop.
