On View
Not on viewIn 1560 Franco received the prestigious commission to decorate the Grimani family chapel in the church of San Francesco della Vigna. Before his death the following year, he had managed to complete only the frescoes in the chapel’s vault. This, Franco’s very last print, reproduces the composition of one of the roundels in the vault. The decoration was completed by Federico Zuccaro, whose study for the chapel’s altarpiece is on the right.
