The iconography and composition of this drawing are obviously related to those of Luca Cambiaso. The artist, however, has little of Cambiaso's sense of structure, rather a preference for decorative flourish. These tendencies and the telltale abbreviation of the figures' eyes indicate that it is a very early drawing by Paggi.
